Born circa 1760 in Nointel, France, Prévost was associated with the botanical painter Gérard van Spaendonck and went on to exhibit with both the Academie Royale and the Academy of Saint-Luc. Today, the artist’s work is in the permanent collection of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.
